I forgot to ask .. what cables do i need to connect Magni 2 to Sound Blaster Z ?
 
2 RCA Male/2 RCA Male  OR ...   2 RCA Male/3.5mm Male ?
 
 
*edit: i see that Soundblaster Z doesn't have rca outputs

The E09K was a great combo to me for starters but that depends on how much you willing to pay if you can afford something better, it's definitely worth the investment!

Does the AKG 702 sound as good now that it is being manufactured in China?  As good as the Austrian models?

Unless you happen upon a early production unit, the graph will be the same as the K712

2. The K702 Anniversary's headband is smooth and doesn't have the "bumps". I believe newer K702 also do not have bumps
 
3. The Anniversary have memory foam pads
 
The pads caused a sound change as well. Basically the Anniversary was a small run of the K712 before the K712 was produced.

The K702/65 also have a better color match IHMO
