Buysonic is now down to $152 shipped for the K612 (you must register to see prices). Is that about the lowest it's ever been?
I've had an extended go with the 612 and 702 pads now. It's weird but sometimes, I feel like it's spot on tonally and other times, the bass is too much with a lowered top end.
The other thing is that I 'think ' the pads have gone down a bit, which is why I'm starting to really enjoy them now, whereas I couldn't listen for long before, when the pads were spanking new.

I suspect that there could have been some changes as the pads have softened/ moulded to my head and I hadn't given them enough time to settle when I first got them.
Perhaps this is the reason why there are different reports on k702 pads. My first reaction was there from the start, but now, my mind is changing and Im starting to think it is actually better with the K702 pads worn for a month or so!!
Can anyone with a pair of K612's (Not K601's) do a detailed review of their bass performance with a moderate amp (stereo receiver, etc)?
I have had the K601's previously, and ultimately wasn't quite pleased with the extension.
