Hi all
I have been using my k3003i for 2 years, i was dissipointed and about to sell, thought it was just a hype, that was before my sony zx2,
Now everything changed, k3003 is just amaizing iems , enjoying a lot.
hi end dap or hi end amp is someone should consider before comming to any conclusions.
Before i had ibasso dx50,90 , and i think these daps dont do any justice to akg k3003. Just my 2 cents.
Sorry for my poor english
Still learning.:)

My experience as well - K3003i sounds great with the Sony ZX2, my previous source was a Chord Mojo. ZX2 works because its warmer.

Update: The AKG3003 flexes its strengths when listening to Leif Ove Andsnes' Chopin album. Out of the Sony TAZH1ES, this sounds sublime. Classical music reinforces how great of a headphone this is, especially as it can be found far less than advertised price. Some say the K3003 is the last hurrah of the 'real' AKG before Samsung's cost reducing measures were implemented, and before the long standing Austrian team left. I'm glad the K3003 is in my collection.
For more info regarding Andsnes' album, see the NYT article https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/07/arts/music/leif-ove-andsnes-chopin.html

I just want to say that I'm still enjoying the K3003 immensely even after the review I wrote here more than a year ago. They're totally accurate, have great dynamics, and a wide soundstage. Tip rolling makes a huge difference because the stock tips were not great for me and the bass was lacking at first. Glad you are enjoying yours!

Sound is a very subjective thing but like some of the recent posts/reviews. I also agree with others AK3003 still have that certain magic despite being a pretty old IEM. Just because something is newer doesn't mean it's better and K3003 still have a dog in the fight compare to others, especially compare to N5005.

Personally I find the spinfit tips work best for me, better bass response and better seal.

I will give them a try - Thanks
Today i tried Spinfit CP145 - i can assure you it lift the K3003 to a new level.
The CP145 had been developed for AKG N5005 and are included in the box.
I never got such a perfect seal and sound quality before with any other tips.

More Bass compared with CP100, slightly larger bore.

Are you saying the SpinFit silicone tips are better than my Comply Tsx-500 FOAM tips?

I thought the foam is always better than silicone.

When i had the k3003 i couldnt stand the ref filter with spinfits, the sibilance was way too much...
