Plan to get Sennheiser IE600 in shop, end up walking away with pre-order 1750 ( order change to 1790 2 day later ) ... it's that darn similarities in sound signature for a lot less price and a better cable !!

I find IE600 some sibilance on certain notes, 1750 just feel smooth sounding with same tonality. Of course Sennheiser win hands down on the size, but acoustune is not too bad with a more refined iem shape this time.

I change my order to 1790ti today after going back to shop for a 2nd listening (peacefully 1 person on a quiet weekday noon) .. .. to be sure of my decision.

I guess on Sunday at a crowded audio shop/cafe, is not a good time for serious listening ... plus a handling a teenage kid eagerly getting her first headphone ...

... I was on campfire holocene, and I guess I mostly listen to vocal and prefer treble/soundstage more than bassy music .. after serious thinking this morning, I really think I was making a wrong choice getting bass heavy iem ..

Glad that the shop allow me to change my order. (Of course, I am paying more )

Tried with a 8 core pure silver cable, wow, immediate soundstage and clarity improvement over their acostune 4.4 balance cable.

It's time to retire my holocene ..

I have great respect for Campfire, gone was the Andro, but kept the Solaris Classic - as a frame of reference for efficiency, the Sound field dimensions x,y and most especially Z and scale of imaging.
But was biased over the Acoustune 1670 tuning - great sound field dimensions and a great Dynamic bass, organic mids and detailed top.
I understand the top end can be too much or unforgiving. I can live with that - only less than 5% from my playlist is affected...

With 1790ti, should I go with acoustune ARS153 (original) or go for 3rd party cable?

Nobunaga offer very good choice of cable, but sometime I think the 3rd party cable change the original sound signature too much.

Would it be more correct to stay with the original maker, since all their cable are built, with good matching of their iem in mind?

I had nobunaga supreme 8 core silver with holocene before, and I sold the cable off. Sound stage is terriblely wide with this combination and make me disoriented.

Hard to decide.

Acoustune ARS153 .. darm, it so beautiful purple blue. Waiting for my 1790 arriving this weekend.

Finally got it today, now I just have to 'burn in' 3 item at 1 shot - wm1am2, ars153 cable and 1790ti.

Initial hearing - yes definitely sound way more musical than my holocene BA iem. Had the bass/sub bass rumble of ie600 but way more soundstage.

IEM and cable as a set cost almost 50% more than ie600, but no regret.
