yeah, it's a tough call.  The clear looks great, but shows the green copper oxidation.  The beige makes it look like a hearing aid.  So it's either clear and replace once a year or black.  I went back to black.

There all the same quality. The clear just corrodes and turns green after a while.

They oxidize - I guess that is a form of corrosion, but it doesn't have an effect on the cable - when I hear the word corrode, my mind wanders to words like rust, decay, decompose & disintegrate....

Copper turns green (see: Statue of Liberty) - either that or it is a huge joke being played on us by the French!

They don't need to go toe-to-toe with JHA, Noble, UE, etc.... pricewise, but I think they are pretty smart - and don't want to lose the "value" tag. But they also have to battle the impression that they are a second-tier custom house - some people won't consider them because they don't expect the high quality if the price is too low - it's a vicious circle :D

That Red you choose is a fantastic color.

That Red you choose is a fantastic color.

Thanks - the combination of solid and translucent red came out really well. Like little rubies.

Just made step 5 (shells poured)! Kind of a fun tracking system they have. It must save them a zillion phone calls to check order status.

My impressions got trimmed yesterday, so I figure my shells will be poured soon. For reference, they received my impressions on the 3rd.

The zillion phone calls have been replaced with me spamming the refresh on their order page

How long was it between impressions trimmed and shells poured?

Got my V3 in the mail today. Fired up a few favourite tracks and loving these so far.
It took exactly 30 days since they accepted impressions. I couldn't decide on custom art, so went plain. Smoke shells and black translucent face plate.
