First, English is not my first language so please forgive some mistakes in spelling etc. :wink: So... DT700 are on the way back to shop. I compared them with DT770 80ohm and DT 880 32 ohm. A/B/C them wasn't actually that good idea because difference between DT700 and DT880 is like day/night...

Just off topic note. I strongly disagree that with decent PCI soundcard you will hear buzz etc... I NEVER ever heard any noise from new soundcard (SB x-Fi for example) or even onboard Realtek. Only on 5 years old Toshiba notebook I hear some noise when HD works and on even older Sb Live...

I didn't find much difference after burn in on eH 350. DT880 are different story. Its clear that sound changed. EQ settings I had to use when they were new are now (after maybe 400 hours) almost unusable and they sound their best flat with no EQ.

I like Sennheisers eh 350 for trance (I listen same music as you). They are forward sounding, neutral and with tight bass. Compared to PortaPro they have much better mids, excellent vocals, overall sound clarity and detail. They are less comfortable tho

K701 is also more on the bright side than neutral (but still less bright and less fatiguing than DT880 and probably most neutral headphones I ever heard) so I don't think that they will compliment DT770 well... But someone else can have different opinion...

+1 for DT880. They are very detailed and balanced at low volume. Trebles that may sound harsh at high volumes are big + for this headphones at low volume.
