Eargasm Stories

Every time I listen to a well-recorded/mastered CD on my DT150s.

When listening to a new age CD the other night (Kevin Brahaney/Tim Clark-The Spell), I felt like I was having an out-of-body experience.
I have never heard speakers that can compare to great headphones like mine (and I have heard some extremely high end speakers!)

The first time I listened to music ripped into lossless through good headphones.

To name a few songs,

Sting - The Wild Wild Sea
K.D. Lang - Hallelujah
Pascale Picard - Gate 22

Slight hijack -- If you don't have it, you should get Jeff Buckley's cover of L Cohen's Hallelujah. It is exquisitely emotional -- way more musical than K.D.'s version. He holds a gentle Hal-le-Lu... note for upwards for 30 seconds with no break or quiver -- incredible.

Got one the first time I listened to a HQ version of running in the 90's through my PC into my portapros. Instead of a adjective, it was the sound of my nutblatter exploding everywhere.

I've also had a few in public listening at low volume with the bass turned up. I'm sure most of the people here think that is wrong and all but as long as the speakers are not bottoming out then it sounds quite nice to me.

Not fun having one of those in public though, when no one even knows you have headphones on and all.
