The right driver of my 2-year old LCD-X died again.  The first time was a year ago.  There is a 3-year warranty on the drivers (thankfully).  Mine must be jinxed...I don't hear a lot of issues with the LCD-X but the drivers on my unit have failed twice in as many years.

Thanks, always prefer the physical media, especially vinyls.

My left driver died too...a couple of weeks a go...after exactly one year.

Another vote for the Q Cable!  Did not expect much improvement over the stock cable when I ordered it...but was pleasantly surprised!  A must have upgrade for LCD-2 owners...and at a very reasonable price too! Thanks, Steve.

Thanks, Zoldar.  The digital front end is a Cambridge Audio 740C (modded).   Shamu, I am not sure about noise on the Ultra Linear when paired with highly sensitive cans.   I have no trouble with noise with the HD800, though.
