I've used the Fubar II for several months and am very happy with it.  It's a great deal for the money.  I don't hear much difference moving up to the $400 range in DACs from the Fubar.

The Decco 2 is a great DAC for the money.  I've used it for a couple of months and really like it. 

The Oppo stuff is great.  I have the BDP-83 Special Edition, which stands up well to my Musical Fidelity A5 (which costs 3x as much), and the Oppo plays SACDs as well!

Nice review.  I've only used the HD-650s and the k701s.  I much, much prefer the former. 

I agree with PurpleAngel, just listen to them.  Play music through them.  Enjoy them.  Of course, if you want to fast track burning them in play music through them for several days straight!

I highly recommend the Stephan AudioArt cables.  These have worked well for me and provide a more lush, harmonically rich sound. 

After trying several headphones I've finally settled on HD-650s as the best all round.  I've not tried the new crop of planer earphones . . .  but IMO, the HD-650s with Stephan AudioArt upgrade cable do everything this I ask them to.
