Having an original DAC-19 from 2009, I found that it took many hours, maybe 500 hours before the sound really opened up. 2nd influencing factor was cabling, 3rd was power supply cording and refinement. Still crazy for the sound after all these years. BRGDS,   patrick

Thanks people. It's something I can fix versus "oh my god..." Will increase latency. I think switching between mediamonkey and foobar and tinkering with settings doesn't help.

Mode B, do I need to install that mode to switch between listening to flac recordings and watching videos thru vlc to eliminate the crackling sound present in VLC and imbedded web browser videos? Any impressions on the sound signature differences between using mode A and B listening to...

Loads faster for me. The imbedded video is nice. Agree the google plugins need updated. Now that google has Chrome, wonder how much the financial considerations will flow to Firefox.

Somewhere on the audio-gd site, mentions not to stack the gear. Although inconvenient for me not to stack the c-2c and the dac19, figured that interference and heat issues would be addressed by not stacking them. (sorta hijacked thread.)

I purchased audio-gd products based on many posts over many months, but in purchasing the c-2c and dac 19 don't remember reading any posts from people that felt to me like shills. If there are shills for audio-gd then there must be alot of them.
