Heh, yeah first thing I would try is swap the tubes back. I had a crackling problem with my power tube, also thought it had a slight volume balance problem. Put in a new good one and it works great ! I don't think your supposed to see sparkles inside your tube.

The built in amp of a less then $200 DAC/AMP beats the DV 336i with good tubes ? Thats just crazy. Your on drugs ! I doubt the zero beats it on female voices. I hope anyways :P.

Heh, yeah it's a nice tube however I prefer the 6AS7G Sylvania over the JAN 6080 WC. I wish I had better phones and a better source;p.

I think Darkvoice will release new versions of their amps soon. Judging from things I've read about the 332 I think you can tweak both pretty much to your liking. I have never heard the 332 though, so not talking out of experience.
