Hiya,
I've been out of it for quite some time, but I've decided I want to get back into it. A speaker setup this time. I built my own 3 way speakers from one of Troels Gravesen his designs. I have these powered by a Musical Fidelity A3 amplifier. Now I am looking for a nice dac. I've tried the Musical Fidelity M1 in my setup and it really did sound very good. Only comparing it to a Pro-ject USB box and some Marantz CD players which, since I brought the MF M1 back, sound kind of flat in comparison. DACs that caught my attention are Devilsound MF M1 Audio Note Dac zero.
Now I was wondering if there were people who heard two or more of these who could shed some light on their performance. I Don't know if my amp matches with the Audio Note cause I've read that there are some output/input mismatches with the audio note and some amplifiers. Considering the age of the audio note dac and the size of the Devilsound, I am leaning slightly towards the M1. Any input is welcome!
