Official Free FLAC File Music Sharing Thread
Perhaps this has been answered before? A lot / most of the albums listed here from Bandcamp have a Buy Now name your price option. Having a quick search on Google and I'm unable to find some guidelines on what is a typical amount to pay that gives the artist some incentive but is also good for... -

Bakoon HPA-21 headphone amplifier
Bakoon on their Facebook page have a teaser for new product. In the comments they say it will be "wonderful for IEM users" but will not be a DAP. Maybe an AMP/DAC?- TIMITS

Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator
Just tried it and it is working fine for me with a Safari browser on an iMac. After filling in the form for name and email there was a confirmation page with the following message displayed: "You will receive and e-mail with a link to download the trial. If you do not receive the e-mail...- TIMITS

Out Of Your Head - new virtual surround simulator
I am waiting for the OSX version but I do have one question. With the trial version I see that I will be able to audition each speaker preset for 2 minutes before it stops. Have you given some thought to what will happen once the software is purchased and you add additional speakers to the...- TIMITS

I hadn't realised this was the case but apparently so. The LG G2 has a Wolfson WM5110 DAC which is capable of 24 bit / 192 kHz. It looks like a terrific phone but the deal breaker for me is that it doesn't have a card slot for additional memory. It beats me why so many manufacturers do this.- TIMITS

There is an excellent review on Head-Fi about the Coffman headphone amp but the reviewer had limited exposure to other tube amps. I will be very interested to read your comments about how the H1-A compares to the TU-05 or other amps that you might have heard.- TIMITS

Three DACs, Four Videos: Audio-gd NFB-10ES2, Andio D2 and Resonessence Invicta
I love this format. How does it stack against traditional reviews, in terms of time and preparation, which are often a wall of text? In terms of presentation the sound and visuals were nice and clear. All in all I think a very successful presentation. -

Feel free to disregard my comment as I don't own one of Shikada san's creations currently ... still waiting on some more comments from new owners and hoping that at some stage there may be a desktop version with moar power. I like the idea of powering the unit from USB and would probably look...- TIMITS

B.M.C. Announces PureDAC
I am interested in this DAC also. Not sure that I fully understand the technical concepts in its design but is sounds exciting. In my case I'm interested in the headphone capability also. In order to make a purchasing decision I just need one or two detailed reviews from reputable sources.- TIMITS

So the latest offers are two more powerful amplifier models: the Super-Geek and the Super-Duper-Geek with the most powerful topping out at 1000 mw. At this stage there doesn't appear to be any comment on how this will affect the type of headphones / earphones chosen. I will primarily be...- TIMITS

Project Ember Review
I received a Project Ember today and have been having heaps of fun changing impedance settings, swapping out the original tube to an RCA 12AU7 clear top, bypassing the input caps and changing the LED colour to a nice restful blue. For anyone interested this little amp can definitely accommodate...- TIMITS

Light Harmonic GEEK
This project has only been up for 5 days and already the cheaper pledges have gone. I managed to get in for $159 so not so bad. The rrp for when it is released in January 2014 is $299. It looks like a great option as it supports higher definition formats like DXD and DSD.- TIMITS
