I started a thread earlier about problems with my 160gb Classic after updating the firmware from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2. The hardrive goes into a continuous reboot loop. I done more research on Apple's discussion forums. So do not update your firmware, unless you want a paperweight.

When I looked down at the dock all of the pins are seated and the one on the outside is like it is sprung. Is this something I should be concerned with? I have connected it and it seems fine, but I have yet to use it. It seems that it may cause excess wear on the iPod connector. Any ideas?
