Using KSC-35/KSC-75 drivers in another 'headphone'
I've transplanted the ksc75 drivers into an old pair of sennheiser hd570. Way more comfier, larger soundstage with the expense of less bass.- lz7j

Should I Get The Westone UM2 Or The Westone 3?
I'd wait for the UM3's which are expected to debut some time this month. I'm a very satisfied UM2 owner looking to upgrade to the UM3's pending on the reviews/feedback. That being said, your best bet is to hold your purchase until: 1) UM2's drop in price due to the release of the UM3 2)...- lz7j

UPDATE I received the new Go-Vibe V6 from Norm yesterday as promised. He sent me a low-gain version with the revised op-amps (AD8620/8610). I'm here to report that the problems with my AKG K81dj's no longer exists with the new amp! Sound quality has improved in a dramatic sense, to my...- lz7j

'alt-preset extreme' is a switch within EAC/LAME that encodes MP3's using VBR at 256kbps (avg. 220-270kbps). on my portable, I can't distinguish the difference between 'extreme' and 'insane' (320kbps CBR).- lz7j

UM2 w/ Hornet?
the hornet has a gain switch. you can set it to 'low' impedance for iem's. I have the westone um2's and have experimented with the hornet m for a few days only to find out that iem's don't generally benefit from amps. the difference is so small that you have to critically listen to the music...- lz7j

Reccomend me one of the following E2C, E3C, Um1
UM1's with the Shure Tri-Flange (modded to bi-flange). Going to the UM2's ($350) is a significant upgrade from the E3c's. I highly recommend the UM2's!- lz7j
