Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling
I compared both of them, M4s are slightly better in SQ, but they have practically non-existent ANC. I kept XM4s.- _daRK

Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Noire Discussion/Impressions Thread
Exactly the same situation with me. I decided to buy Noire before Christmas and accidentally read about this pad issue 🤔 I'm starting to think about LCD-XC or Denon D9200.- _daRK

Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling
Exactly, different heads, different ears, different listening environments, and different tastes for what sounds good. There is no such thing as "truth" in our hobby. Enjoy your M4.✌️- _daRK

Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling
I did some testing myself too and I kept the XM5. The main reasons were much better ANC and comfort. Yes, the M4 was slightly better in SQ but not that much to keep it instead of the XM5. It was 3 months ago and I'm still satisfied with my decision.- _daRK

Exactly! I don't get why so many guys here are talking about loudness and they think that it's the same thing as good sound.- _daRK

Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Noire Discussion/Impressions Thread
It might be that in some way you are just a "lucky" audiophile and you don't need to buy expensive equipment and can spare money for something else. No dongle cannot beat a proper amp with planar. No offense, just my 2 cents.- _daRK

This is not only a matter of numbers, volume, and dB. Planars like these just need more juice to show what they are capable of. BTR7 is great but not for DCA Aeon.- _daRK

I am afraid FW5 earphones don't seem to be comfortable. I wanted to wait for them and didn't buy Sony WF10000XM4.- _daRK

Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Noire Discussion/Impressions Thread
DT770 as analytic headphones? No way... I had them about 5 years ago, their sound was just dull and muffled. But I loved how comfortable they were. My next buy in the few next months will be DCA Noire 2 (these can't be a wrong choice), LCD XC (EQ is needed), or Denon D9200. If I had to choose...- _daRK

FiiO Hybrid IEMs Discussion & Impressions Thread
KZ vs. FH9? This would be a very strange comparison. If you use IEMs only outside, staying with chi-fi is OK. Maybe I'd rather focus on TWS earphones.- _daRK

Rank the IEM's you've heard
Your attitude is absurd. You might consider the fact that every person has different ears and different explanation of what metallic sound means.- _daRK

iBasso CF01 (Cable Free), BT MMCX adapter for any MMCX IEM.
Guys, any news about updated CF01? Something like CF02 or CF03? They don't even mention the CF01 on their official website. Longer battery life and LDAC would be much appreciated.- _daRK

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Mojo's line-out mode is IMHO very badly implemented. I use WASAPI direct access with volume control in foobar2000, ca. 90% volume on Mojo, and ca. 40-50% volume on speakers. That's the best setup for me (of course, I tried different setups too).- _daRK

The New HIBY R3 II is here. 4.4MM Jack; Improved Sound and Bluetooth.
I love listening to podcasts, but I wouldn't give even a chance to the R3 for this. The apps I use on my mobile are just great and I can't imagine how bad it was with the R3.- _daRK
