I actually like the stock tips. They seem identical to the KBEAR 07 tips, at least the stock M size and the KBEAR M blue ones do. But then again, our ears are built differently, so whatever works for you might not be ideal for someone else 🤷🏻‍♂️

Actually the OG ZS5 was quite good IMHO. It’s the latter implementation (which had two BAs in the nozzle instead of one) turned that model into a hot sizzling mess. I still have my original unit. Took it out for a spin a few days ago and it still sounds good. ZS5 v1 ZS5 v2

Interestingly my OG R3 Pro doesn’t seem to suffer from any of the issues mentioned before after updating to 2.0. The user experience actually seems smoother now, although I didn’t have a chance to try streaming yet.

What I realized immeditely after the 2.0 firmware update, is that the database update works so much faster now! Didn't have enough time to notice any other changes, but this is already a welcome upgrade. I own the non-Saber version, BTW.

Actually I'm pretty sure the "HD" in their marketing materials stands for "HD Pure Sound Quality", and not AptX HD. So it's more of a sales gimmick, it seems. AptX HD is not mentioned anywhere else in the AZ09 Pro specification.

If you have some KZs lying around (or any other IEMs with QDC termination), you should consider a BT adapter like KZ AZ09 Pro. It supports AptX Adaptive, surprisingly not advertised by KZ, which works great with Android phones and BT transmitters such as this one.

You'll find plenty on AliExpress. I bought one similar to this some three years ago: https://a.aliexpress.com/_v0OZxS . I use it from time to time, although I prefer to recable my MH755/750s.

I'll do that, although it already happened before installing the new software. Could this be a mechanical issue? The device was used quite heavily before I got it.

@TeamHiFiMAN I managed to install the latest software, but I keep having a very annoying issue with my device. When I turn on the player and start playing music, the playback speed is higher than it's supposed to. Basically it plays 2 or even 3 times faster. Removing and inserting the SD card...

I've been wondering about this myself for a while now. I think someone in one of the threads mentioned that he's on some kind of hiatus. I sure hope that's just that.
