i just got my HDP and pairing it with some ESW9's. there is obvious hiss just one click of the knob turning on. the hiss fades around 11 o'clock which is a good listening level but i can still hear a faint hiss. anyone else with ESW9's that can verifiy this and it isn't just me? i'm running...- xyz

how do i switch out the d10 opamps?
i've never opened it or any amp before. i have the tool it came with, tried from the back and it didn't just fall out which i don't know why that would surprise me. tried the front and can't get it off most likely because of the volume knob. do i just need to remove all screws? all screws plus...- xyz

[REVIEW] Head-Direct RE0 - a new contender for the best IEM
i only have RE2's right now but believe i'll be upgrading to RE0's very soon and was curious if any tip that fits the RE0 would also fit the RE2 for those that know. the smallest tips that came with the RE2 fit me best. i can get the mediums in, they possibly could give me better seal but...- xyz

RE2 owners: help me get the tip in
after smashing in one of the mesh seal things i was able to get them on and off a couple times though still basically just out of luck. still don't have a surefire way of going about it and would have an anxiety attack if i was forced to attach them on the go out in public. the smallest tips...- xyz

RE2 owners: help me get the tip in
*rimshot* seriously..first IEMs. were cheap and just wanted to test fit moreso than sound. the clear tips that look like two of the black tips stacked on top of eachother felt a bit too snug and i pulled them off not realizing how tight they were on..i now can't get any of the smaller ones...- xyz

IEMs on airplanes
do your ears still pop when they're plugged with iems? i don't know the exact terminology of what goes on to your ears at high altitudes but using normal headphones i have to put the volume twice as high during this state and it still sounds very bloated and muddy and just gets to the point that...- xyz

Ultrasone hard case question
i still have my pro900 hard case, wondering if a pair of AT ESW9 would fit in them for travel. obviously don't have the ESW9 yet to try it out but need to find another hard case situation for them if not before purchase. edit: also curious if they can hold the 780's, i know they're a slightly...- xyz

i've been told that the graphics on top could be scraped off. any of you made an attempt at this? run into any problems? i don't want to be petty but this will be used mostly in public and it looks almost like a toy with that stuff on it. does not fit my aesthetic.- xyz

ibasso D3 Review!
so what's the more popular rechargeables for this if no one has a problem using batteries all the time? it just seems weird that i'd be using batteries when a lot of the time i'll be sitting right next to a power outlet but if it's the best option in the price range i'll go for it. also how...- xyz

a cross between a bud and iem
going by popular vote, that OK2 is not looking so great to me based on an indepth review i glossed over from someone here. i see it doubles as both a bud and iem but that's not really what i'm looking for, just the best way i could think to describe it. shallow iem i guess is the better term...- xyz

a cross between a bud and iem
to my knowledge, iems are top of the line for portable sound. i want the sound but don't need or really want the complete isolation. so what am i asking exactly i don't know, an iem that doesn't go in as deep as usual? an iem that also doesn't have removable tips that need to be replaced, or as...- xyz

a cross between a bud and iem
does such a thing exist? i want the sound quality, but don't need the complete isolation. i'm also not really into the idea of needing to replace the tips every so often. any ideas? something around $100 would fit the bill as they wouldn't be used terribly often.- xyz
