What USB-C cable do you guys recommend to use with this? I am currently using the older Modi Multibit with the PYST USB cable.

I love the tubey sound of the original Vali.  Does the Vali 2 stock tube sound similar?   My main issue with Vali is the ringing.  Does Vali 2 improve in that regard?

Will a splitter affect sound quality?  If I ran a splitter from my Schiit Vali to the SubPac would it even be safe for the SubPac to receive those amplified signals?

I bet the Schiit Wyrd would resolve your issue. Look it up.

After a LOT of research, I just placed an order for a Wyrd, Modi 2, Sys, Vali, 2 PYST RCAs and 2 PYST USBs.  Planning on using that Schiit with my Fidelio X2s and M-Audio AV40 desktop speakers.   Yes, I'm poor now, and SUPER excited :)  

At what length does a 3.5mm cable start to degrade audio quality?

I have a 10ft OFC stereo cable that I use with my X2s; would a 6ft cable have better sound quality?

Okay thanks. So using the Wyrd means another USB cable, type A to A that connects the Wyrd to the PC. Schiit does not offer an A to A PYST cable, but does cable quality really even matter at that part of the chain?

Any chance we'll see a Vali 2 anytime soon?     It kinda bugs me that there's no gain switch and Vali doesn't have that nice brushed aluminum that the M2Us have.

I'd want it to have the brushed aluminum of the M2U, and have a gain switch.

We have the same taste in music, and I love listening to it on my X2s. I love ASOT. If you were a basshead, I'd recommend the V-Moda Crossfade M-100s but since you like acoustic music and want to use these for gaming, I think you've done a good job on your research to lead you to the X2s.

What do you mean by dry?  Are you saying the X2 is dry too?
