Reply to review by 'drey08' on item 'Dan Clark Audio E3'
> It is no champion in sound leakage but it's also not unusable here; when right next to an E3 user, you might hear loud bass notes, but you won't continuously hear music playing from my experience. I'm sorry but this quote makes no sense. As someone who just bought these I have to make this...- drey08

Technics EAH-AZ80 True Wireless Earbuds
Just got these about a week ago. Things I like about them from the perspective of someone who owned the MTW3 & MTW2: - They are extremely well tuned. I was impressed by the sound right away. I wouldn't say they sound "better" than the MTW3, but I feel they sound more clear. And they have a lot...- drey08

Sennheiser introduces the Momentum 3
Also, what is the bass on these like compared to the previous gen? Because that's the one thing that was always missing a punch in previous versions. I've temporarily switched to Bose QC35 II a few months ago, they have much better bass, but the overall sound quality is trash compared to the...- drey08

Sennheiser introduces the Momentum 3
Can you elaborate on this a bit? You mean that in normal mode, whatever you do, if you turn your head right it pauses the music? Can this behavior be disabled via some phone app or something? That sounds terrible..- drey08

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
My biggest gripe with the IE80 was the housing, which was too big for my ears. I wonder if the IE80S is better in this regard, it does look more compact in the pictures. But I'd like to see the official dimensions listed somewhere, and I don't see them on their website.- drey08

Is Sennheiser planning on Momentum v3 or a new wireless headphone this year?
That's just the relabeled Momentum 2. They had an issue with the copyright for the name "Momentum" in the US, so they've renamed it as HD1. But it's the very same headphones.- drey08

Is Sennheiser planning on Momentum v3 or a new wireless headphone this year?
I really love my wireless Momentums. It's probably been way over a year that I've owned them, and I haven't been eager at getting anything to replace them yet. I did try out Bose's and Sony's latest wireless headphones, but they either have terrible wireless connection stability problems (Bose)...- drey08

Thanks for the reply! And yeah, it's probably a funny comparison. Anyway, order made. Can't really miss out on the deal. :)- drey08

The AKG K7XX Massdrop First Edition Thread
Also, I find it funny how many people mention the "knifing the headband" for the previous models. It seems like the headband was universally hated. Glad to see this new edition without those cardboard bumps. :)- drey08

The AKG K7XX Massdrop First Edition Thread
Anyone had the Momentum 2's over-ear and compared them to these? Obviously closed-back vs open-back, but I'd still like to hear opinions. I've had the K701s over ten years ago and I loved them back then. It looks like the K7XX are on Massdrop again, I'm considering getting them.- drey08

The AKG K7XX Massdrop First Edition Thread
I've had my K701s (built in Austria) brake fairly soon after I've had them, but this was over ten years ago. It had no effect on the functionality of the headphones though. But I wish manufacturers would stop using cheap plastic for things like that.- drey08

IE80 alternative with smaller housing?
I loved the IE80's when I had them, but the housing was always uncomfortable for my ears so I could only wear them for a few hours at most. Is there anything in the same quality range as the IE80? If it's more expensive that's okay but I really miss the quality of these for IEMs. ...- drey08

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
It's like a 2 meters area where it loses connection. Regardless if I'm coming up from the station or about to go down, it always crackles a bit at that point. But I did actually get to work at ~12PM / 1PM recently so maybe it's not really in the morning but rather in the afternoon. ...- drey08

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
One thing I've noticed consistently with my M2 Wireless is that the connection starts to break off about 3 feet away from the southern exit of the U8 underground rail station in Berlin at Kotbusser Tor. It's really weird, it always breaks connection at that point for a split second. And I...- drey08

Are custom-mold IEMs worth it?
Here's the list of headphones I've owned in the last decade or so: - AKG K-701 (amazing mids and highs, but require a powerful driver) - Sennheiser Momentum 1.0 On-Ear (great first Sennheiser's!) - Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear 1.0 (terrible!) - Sennheiser Momentum Over-Ear 1.0 (great...- drey08

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
My replacement Momentums came in on Friday, and they're working perfectly! There was definitely something wrong with the first pair, I'll be sending those back to Amazon and hopefully Sennheiser can figure out what went wrong and avoid these mechanical problems in the future. Really happy...- drey08

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
I'm getting my replacement phones on Friday so I'll hopefully be able to give you all feedback on whether this was a manufacturing defect. I really do think it was. The way the audio would cut and produce cracks when the left earphone was affected with any amount of vibration makes me think...- drey08

LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG
I think it's software that thinks it's in high mode but actually isn't. My remote works whether the Hi-Fi icon is lit or not (with the app hotfix), but there's no difference in amplification (so I think it's not /actually/ using Hi-Fi mode). When I plug in a non-remote cable the audio is...- drey08

LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG
Yeah I can definitely confirm this about the cable situation. The non-mic cables enable better amplification when HI-FI DAC mode is enabled compared to the mic ones. The mic cables controls work nicely though, so there's that. :)- drey08

LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG
Jesus Christ the amp is insanely good for driving the Momentum Black wired. Someone mentioned that you can't use the remote-mic cable and the hi-fi DAC, but in my case I can. I did use the DAC fix from the play store, but it does work.- drey08

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
I'll handle this through Amazon since that's where I've bought it. Ah such a shame it had to be defective. But I've ordered a replacement, I don't want my money back I just want the wireless Momentums that work. :)- drey08
