I double bagged my sound card in ziploc bags, taped it up, wrapped in foil, taped that up, grounded the foil, taped more, cut the PCI connectors out of the bag/foil, and now it's damn near noise free! anybody else ever try DIY shielding on their computer's sound card? how did it turn out?

Stick these in your ears. Put on your open phones. Turn your volume WAYYYY up. voila? basically this should increase the ratio of music to external noise. Only has three possible problems: a. the ER-20s dont attenuate smoothly across the hearing spectrum b. not enough power = clip c. that big...

My buddy had HD580s, but refuses to buy an amp. i convinced him to sell the hd580s and buy something easier to drive...so what should he buy, something ~120ish and easy to drive, and good (comparable to the hd580s with no amp) sound quality?

I listen to dancy club music, so I'm leaning away from the senns because everybody says they are laid back and relaxing, not very upbeat and dancy, but the grados are regarded as not very comfortable... basically, i'm going to be wearing these headphones for hours and hours at a time, so...
