I double bagged my sound card in ziploc bags, taped it up, wrapped in foil, taped that up, grounded the foil, taped more, cut the PCI connectors out of the bag/foil, and now it's damn near noise free!
anybody else ever try DIY shielding on their computer's sound card? how did it turn out?

I have a noise free system but I have no shielding whatsoever. What soundcard are you using?

I wouldn't expect too much from soundcard if I were you. ... Current Computers aren't up to our audio standard (which I might say "REALLY" high standard).
