Do anybody else having a hard time with ear fatigue?   It was rather unexpected given what I read about these headphones, although I noticed someone having this problem on this thread, but there's something somewhere physically piercing my ears, and it's felt right away. Sounds a tad harsh...

Interesting, of all my amps, this one definitely had the knob I liked the most. Smooth, and very adjustable sound, wasn't getting better than that for me.

  Agreed. The HE-500 had a reason to drop when the HE-560 got out, but if the HE-1000 is released at $2,999, I don't see the HE-560 moving an inch. 

As long as it's not "painfully" clear, this does sound good. The price doesn't (at least compared to my $700 used HD800 & HE-560), I'm still hoping they'd go closer to 2k while bringing the HE-6 closer to 1k, also being a more direct competitor to the HD800/LCD3/LCD-X, but that's another story
