Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Opinions being what they are- I was talking with a friend about this earlier, and I think what gets me most about it is that one of the hallmarks of Schiit gear is accessibility, and while $400-500 is still very accessible....it is a very long way from $150. Maybe it's a bit naïve, but if/when I...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

A humble suggestion :) I've been using these with the +, seem quality enough and a bit subtler than the various color cables- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09S5YDVZ5

    Audeze SINE Series

Man, what is this nonsense?!  The iOS device is separately outputting a digital signal and power...there is, and has to be, a DAC and an amp in the cable for sound to come out of the headphones. The definition of what an amp is/does is straightforward, nothing further to be considered there.   ...

    Audeze SINE Series

For me, they end up almost entirely over the ear, are very comfy, and no one has ever suggested that my ears may be mighty small. As mentioned above, trying them is the best option and any authorized reseller is going to have a return policy that accommodates getting past initial impressions.

    Audeze LCD-X

Honestly, I haven't had enough experience with full-tube setups to have an opinion well informed enough to influence other's buying choices. I do have enough experience with the Mjolnir 2 to say that leaving it out of the discussion, and only talking about Schiit's solid state amps or writing it...

    Audeze SINE Series

Probably not. Depending on where you're located and if you're looking for the cipher version or not, RazorDog has a returned standard cable pair for close to that price...with all the packaging and full warranty. If you're inclined to take the deal you're talking about, I'd email Audeze before...

Why did you omit the Mjolnir 2, which is a fantastic hybrid tube amp?

    Audeze SINE Series

Just to clarify; per the user guide from Audeze, warranty is three years on the drivers and one year on everything else and "All warranty replacements are guaranteed for 90 days or until the conclusion of the Warranty Period of the original Audeze Product, whichever period is greater." If you...

    Audeze SINE Series

I think you may be missing the point that the SINE *is* a signature product for Audeze, though certainly not in the same way the LCD-4 or preceding LCDs were. Putting together a relatively compact planar magnetic that, by all accounts, is highly competitive at the price point is a tremendous...

UE 900 review, and why I'm a terrible audiophile.

Sorry to bump a sleeping thread-   I'm curious for those that have tried both the triple.fi and UE 900, how much of a difference is there in housing size between the two? I currently have the triple.fis and while the canal fit and sound is great, the housing size is just too big for my ears...

    Need good IEM's for metal

I'd try and swing the 5 pros- they have a good balance between detail and the extra bass oomph you're looking for. The er6i's are great, but they're all about detail (too harsh for a number of people) and don't have a whole lot to offer in the extra bass department.

    Etymotic ER-6i or Shure E3C?

Why are you looking for iem's that don't go over your ear? I went from er6i's to e4c's and one of the many reasons I still have my e4c's is because I can wear them over my ears. This helps a ton with microphonics, which were particularly bothersome with the er6i. And what are you looking for...

Mid-range IEMs for mainly acoustic music?

what I said was based on my listening experience (e2c's, super.fi's and er6i's). As previously mentioned, the etys are super detailed and IMO are great for acoustic music...to my ears it seems like a very good combo. As for the other two I've heard--the e2c's are not worth their price, very...
