    WOO-HOOOO... WA7 "fireflies"!!!

I had been using my LCD 2.2 phones with my WA7 / tp combo and had been quite happy. When I acquired my Burson V2+, however, it became appparent that the Audezes were more capable than the Woo was able to demonstrate. There was ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with the Woo / Audeze combo, but if you are...

MICROZOTL2 Tube Headphone Amp and preamp: a breakthrough device

Schiit Bifrost was impressive at its price point. The Sabre DAC in my Burson V2+, however, provided a noticible improvement in resolution, instrument separation and transient attack. The clear winner, in my opinion, is the Gungnir Multi-Bit I recently acquired from a fellow member. The Gumby /...

    Sennheiser HD800S loaner program @TTVJAudio.com

Thanks, Todd, for the opportunity to review the Sennheiser HD-800S headphones.   The equipment I used is as listed in my profile :  Burson V2+,  Microzotl 2.0 (Primarily with the Burson’s DAC),  Woo Audio WA-7tp - using strictly the included DAC. Other headphones compared:  Audeze LCD 2.2...

MICROZOTL2 Tube Headphone Amp and preamp: a breakthrough device

I have been running the MicroZOTL 2.0 into a relatively inefficient (85 db/watt) pair of 8 ohm, Linn Katan speakers in a desktop setup. I have been driving this combo with the DAC out setting of my Burson V2+. As long as I keep the volume level up around 80 on the Burson -REMOVE HEADPHONES...

The Head Box started it all! The NAD 7020 was my first "quality" purchase many years ago. There is a lot of sentimental value there!

    New Burson Conductor - V2 and V2+

Mine is here!   I was surprised to find this waiting for me when I got home   Nice initial presentation     My "lucky numbers" are 3 and 6.  This was auspicious!     Included was the power cable, a set of RCA interconnects and the remote.   The remote has metal buttons that...

    WOO-HOOOO... WA7 "fireflies"!!!

Leave them in.  It is best not to mess with them if you do not need to.

    New Burson Conductor - V2 and V2+

Fezz,   I have not listened to the KEF but will try to arrange that.   I have a pair of Linn Katan serving desktop duty at present - any additional upgrades beyond the V2+ will have to wait for the toy budget to recover!  We are in the process of retiring and relocating.  Depending on what...

    New Burson Conductor - V2 and V2+

Thanks for the review, Fezz, it has made me even more anxious to receive my V2+.  In order to have an alternative to my LCDs, I am planning to run a pair of bookshelf speakers via a yet-to-be determined power amp.  My questions to you are:   When you plug in your headphones, does the V2+...

    WOO-HOOOO... WA7 "fireflies"!!!

The aesthetics of the WA7 and the sonic quality have made me a happy owner. Being able to upgrade - BONUS!!!!

    New Burson Conductor - V2 and V2+

I just pulled the trigger on IDGG. It is going to be interesting comparing the V2+ with my WA7tp using my LCD2 non Fazor phones! I love the tube sound of the Fireflies, but there seems to be an almost universal respect for the synergy of the Audeze/Burson combination. Anxiously waiting....

Minneapolis Meet @ The Needle Doctor Saturday June 7th

Sorry, gang, I had to attend to a family matter in Duluth. All is getting squared away, but I will not be back in time for the meet. I even got over 250GB of ALAC files moved over to my macbook and everything. Looking forward to the next one I hope you all have a great day.

Minneapolis Meet @ The Needle Doctor Saturday June 7th

My source is my Mac. I have a lot of greater than Redbook quality ALAC files on it. I have no portable device capable of feeding the Woo DAC. Best I could do is my iPod classic (ALAC files) via RCA into the Woo, bypassing the Woo DAC. I will bring this iPod and cables. Feel kind of funny not...

Minneapolis Meet @ The Needle Doctor Saturday June 7th

OK, I am a definite. They can't call me for overtime, because I am out of service due to a foot injury. I have my LCD 2.2s and a WA7 with both the solid state and tube power supplies and a small selection of tubes I do NOT, however, have a source I could easily transport. Should I bring the...

    Intro and questions

Thanks for the replies. I don't need the isolation; in fact, with grandkids running around, it's good to be able to hear what is happening! The 800's are definitely on my short list. I do wear glasses, so an around the ear seems to be a better plan than an on the ear. From what I have read...
