New headphone + amp selection help.

I can't really speak to gaming on them, but the Senn HD-580s have a great soundstage for music especially considering you can get a used pair for ~$100. If you went that rout then you could afford a pretty good amp either a Little Dot II, PA2V2, or something like that depending on if you wanted...

    An Introduction and some Questions

For $350 you could get a used HD-600 and a Little Dot II, a used HD-580 and a Corda Headfive, or a used HD-580, Alessandro MS-1, and the Little Dot II. All 3 would be really good for the $$$.

Newbie dunb ass questions what to get on a budget of $100

I've owned the MS-1 in the past and it's in a pretty nice sweet spot for the Grado sound. I'd also say to look for a used Senn HD-580, I got mine for $100 and really like it (I've owned the 600 and 650 in the past and think the 580 is by far the best for the money of the 3). If you like bass the...

Lots of people have bad credit

I remember reading an article somewhere that a lot of those Rent-a-Center type places were being investigated by states (I think it was NY among others) for deceptive business practices. It seems that they didn't tell people about a ton of charges, interest, etc. and were preying on...

HEADFIVE amp pairs / has synergy with....????

They are both Grados so yes they have the same sonic signature, but the MS-1s are just a bit more laid back and the slightly more agressive 225s make a better pairing with the H5, though the MS-1s aren't a bad match by any means. Quote: Originally Posted by boberang Huh, guess I was...

What connectors for PS Audio Statement PC - a 6 guage wire?

I found a pretty good deal on some bulk PS Audio Statement power cord and am wondering what connectors to use for it. The only ones that I can find will only accept up to a 10 guage wire and the Statement has two 6 guage wires in it. What 15 amp and IEC plugs should I use for this HUGE cable?

HEADFIVE amp pairs / has synergy with....????

I've been using my Headfive with a pair of Grado SR-225s and the combo is VERY good. The 225 has been reviewed as one of the least strident of the Grados in terms of the GraTo sound. I like the pairing better than with my MS-1s to the point that I'm considering selling the MS-1s and maybe...
