Any of you hear a faint hiss in quite environment? Not the ordinary bluetooth current noise but more like a "wind " sound. And it only comes from right channel.- ucanuup

Sennheiser x Massdrop HD6XX Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
Does any of you think that they changed the pads on these? I haven't used the HD650 for a long time but I do have a vague memory of them having thicker pads and thus feel more comfortable.- ucanuup

Fiio X5 3rd gen || 2x AKM 4490 || Balanced Out || DSD || DXD | DTS | Android || Dual Card Slot
not exactly the same, AK380 has 4490eq while X5 uses 4490en, which is a low voltage version. and those chips cost $5 each, so it means nothing.- ucanuup

FiiO X7 | DXD | DSD | 384K/64B | ESS9018+ Android | WiFi | Bluetooth | 4 AMP modules | Balanced Out |
For those of you who haven't updated to 3.12 yet, this new interface look just like the one shown in X5iii. So maybe by the time X5iii is available X7 would have a stable firmware.- ucanuup

Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones
Tsx-100 is the most comfortable. Isolation of P-100 is great but they can be a pain to wear. Spinfits are even worse though I like them better than complies on iems with larger nozzles.- ucanuup

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
The velour pads of v1 are ****. I was never a fan of velour pads but those on t1 and he500 were at least tolerable. These are the worst I've even seen and there's no replacement.- ucanuup

best dynamic and best planar for $1000?
There is no universal best because everybody has a different preference. Here are some that you should try: t1, elear, he560, edition x.
