Any of you hear a faint hiss in quite environment? Not the ordinary bluetooth current noise but more like a "wind " sound. And it only comes from right channel.

hifiman has great products (should they work) and terrible cs. what people should do is buy from a responsible dealer like amazon.

if you still have faith in hifiman, try a used v1 he1000 or a edition x v2.

Does any of you think that they changed the pads on these? I haven't used the HD650 for a long time but I do have a vague memory of them having thicker pads and thus feel more comfortable.

not exactly the same, AK380 has 4490eq while X5 uses 4490en, which is a low voltage version. and those chips cost $5 each, so it means nothing.

Tsx-100 is the most comfortable. Isolation of P-100 is great but they can be a pain to wear. Spinfits are even worse though I like them better than complies on iems with larger nozzles. 

The problem with stupidpost is that it's a collaboration with usps and usps gives them zero priority, so have fun watching your hd6xx rot in their warehouse during the holiday season.

The velour pads of v1 are ****. I was never a fan of velour pads but those on t1 and he500 were at least tolerable. These are the worst I've even seen and there's no replacement.

There is no universal best because everybody has a different preference. Here are some that you should try: t1, elear, he560, edition x. For strings hd800 could sound very harsh and the audezes were all too heavy for me to wear, so I won't recommend them. And if you don't mind second hand, a...
