Does anyone know a service in the EU, which can do a removable cable mod for the TH900?

Is there any real press coverage?

I really love Schiit and literally the only reason I don't consider buying from them again is the power switch on the back. In a rack that's impossible to reach. Some people just leave their gear on I guess, but I don't.

So I received the HE560 yesterday. Before the trade happened, I actually wanted to sell my LCD2, but then I saw textfreuds trade request and I thought, why not give it a try. As I wanted to get rid of the LCD2 anyways, because I prefered my other headphones, I was fine with sending him my LCD2...

I have no clue about this technical stuff. All I know ist that the amp can ouput 6W into 50R, which is more than the EF6. I am very confused. Can something be changed internally? I bought the amp used, so I don't know what the previous owner did to it.

What does running balanced mean? I'm using the balanced output.

I have a question. I read that the Audio-GD NFB 10.32 should drive the HE 6 properly and as it can output 6W into 50R it should, in theory. But when I turn it up to max volume in high gain it can bring the HE6 to normal listening levels but not loud. I also have the EF6 which can drive my HE6...

The X2 have a similiar signature to the LCD2 I feel.

I would also recommend some "darker" headphones like the Hifiman/Audeze. The TH900 is also amazing.

I would strongly recommend the Phillips X2 to you. They are very good all rounders.  Another option is to get a used electrostatic system. 

ALAC is not only 16/44. Only if you use an iDevice, like the iPad it will convert 24/96 to 16/44 because it's limited by software. Since iOS7 you can bypass it with an external DAC.

But you get the "tube sound". It doesn't matter if it's technicaly superior or not. A lot of people like this kind of sound even if it's colored.

I don't think so. They are only 150 Ohm, so your Bose system should be able to drive them. But if you feel like you need more power you can still buy an amp after you tested it.

I think Phillips Fidelio X2 looks pretty good and way above their price point.

People who care about money will wait till the HE1000 is released and will decide to buy it if it get's good reviews or if they had the chance to listen to it by themselves,which is a small group I think.

I think chua is completely right. The people which wanted to buy the HE1000 dont care that much about the money they spent. Two different groups are adressed. Some reviews will be nice though.

For me the HE-500 were my first real hifi headphones. I had the DT990 before. I bought them together with the EF1 used for a very good price. For me I never experienced such an amazement again. I think the HE-500 are a killer for their price. But most likely this is a question of preferences...

As you didn't mention any budget, it's hard to give a concrete suggestion. If you like bass, orthodynamics are a good choice. I owned the HE-500 + Lyr combo for quite some time and I can tell it's a killer. You won't get anything near this sound in this price range. The HE-500 is not neutral but...

As sound is very individual, you should just try around and find your EQ.

Stax is one league above any dynamic headphone anyways. But for their price the 880 sound really amazing. I was impressed by them when I first listened to one.

I had the chance to listen to the TH900 last week and they'll be my next purchase for sure. I never heard a closed headphone before, that could create such a big soundstage. I'm really impressed. And the looks...
