The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
Quote: Ok, good to know about the moisture. It was just something very unexpected. To my ears HP4 drives them well, but I'm not able to do comparison from the same source as I lack some rca cables. So a little bit hard to say how well excatly.- Lettu

The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
Been using DT48e for a while now! At first they were uncomfortable, but alot better now. The clamp is tight and doesn't really loosen up in use I would guess, but somehow I've gotten used to it. One more negative thing about comfort is how heavy these are, it might make your necks sore if you...- Lettu

The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
Thats cool. Liking the older stuff more, so theres probably higher chance of it sounding good/decent. Too bad about the comfort, comfirms how these are probably not the best choice for your only phones, if you happen to be a heavy listener. Anyway went ahead and ordered. I'll try to drop a...- Lettu

The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
Not sure if it's comperable, but running AKG K271's at the moment, which are studio phones and considered "boring" neutral and not bassy. Still able to enjoy the sound a lot and get very drawn in to some songs, also I don't really find these lacking bass. So guessing DT48 could be to my taste...- Lettu

The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
Anyone have an idea how good a pairing these DT48e's (25ohm) and audio-gd C2 headphone amp would be? I have little to no technical understanding of these things to be honest. I'm choosing between these and Sennheiser HD 600 (Used to have these and love them), although I'll probably end up...- Lettu

Converter, quick question!
Alright, thanks a lot. Never really auditoned different cables, as I expect there won't be any difference. -
Converter, quick question!
I'm looking to run both my active speakers and headphone amp from my soundcards line out. Will this 3,5mm to 2x 3,5mm worsen the audio quality?- Lettu

10 Biggest Lies in Audio
Smirked at term "idiophiles". Kinda agressive text, but i tend to agree with most of it. I've had some different experiences but accept them to be placebo. Understanding placebo, understanding facts, its only logical. However I can only imagine how hard it can be for someone who has spent...- Lettu

Everyone on Head-Fi can't be wrong, can they? Dissapointed with Grado SR-225's..
Sounds to me the phones are not the problem and you would have been disappointed with any other higher fidelity cans. My guess is you have gotten so used to that unnatural sound, that higher fidelity just sounds boring.. However if i was you i wouldn't throw the towel in just yet, but give...- Lettu

Why do some headphones make vocals sound "sharp" like painful to the ear with the "s/t" letters?

When i bought my HD600 (used HD555 before) this was the first thing i noticed. Really annoying and obvious in some songs and in some theres no such problem so it has to be the recording.- Lettu

Good and Bad recordings
I was astonished by the difference between RHCP's Stadium Arcadium normal to ripped from vinyl edition. Normal one is a prime example of volume pumped to max and is painfull to listen for long. -
M audio revolution 5.1
Im using HD555 with Revo 5.1 =) Revo 5.1 is pretty much as good as creatives X-fi cards in sq so yes it should be better- Lettu

I'm starting to change my pc from gaming to multimedia pc (mostly music). Maybe i should sell my x-fi fatality soundcard and to get better sounding card? I was thinking of ESI Juli@.
