Sony XBA-300 Impressions & Discussion Thread
My XBA-30ip died last wee, so i thought I would try IE80s. Not really enjoying them, they don't give me that exciting feeling i get listening to music on the xba-30, and I think I'm too used to the lovely sparkly highs and all the detail. So I've just ordered the XBA-300ap, really hoping its...- MrFujisawa

For someone like me who doesn't want to muck about addid stuff into the nozzle the 30 is the way to go. Also, even ordering it from japan it was still cheaper than the 3 is here in the UK. Im happy with my purchase :)- MrFujisawa

Quick update. I'm really enjoying these. Compared to my previous IEMs (MDR EX300) the difference is night and day. My whole collection has a new found clarity and richness, like they're in a higher pecision format. I'm noticing parts in songs I haven't noticed before. It's really effortless as...- MrFujisawa

Sorry to hijack the thread but this might also be of interest to op. If I output audio over the optical out in 2ch PCM to my AVR, is the audio 'pure' such that I get the benefit of my AVR's DAC?- MrFujisawa

Hi Guys, So I got my XBA-3IPs yesterday as an upgrade from MDR ex300s. Generally the sound is lovely, but I'm finding that the treble is way too bright on certain frequencies, it's almost painful. I'm not sure what the issue is, whether it's just my ears or there's an issue with the tweeter BA...- MrFujisawa
