Believable excuses to get off work
I guess the place I work at is pretty cool in that you can just leave or not show up to work without too much bureaucratic nonsense. Just send an email out to the team saying you're out and for how long.- FoolmanCool

Amazon finally has 16gb Sony NWZ-A729!!!
Looks pretty expensive for what you get. Are there any obvious features that aren't included in an Ipod or Zen?- FoolmanCool

Best headphones for the best buck?
The ATH-ES7's run for around $100 and they sound pretty good for the money. If best bang to buck ratio is needed though, I doubt anything could beat the Koss KSC-75s : )- FoolmanCool

W5000 have landed!
Gurus, what's your opinion on the w5000's performance with classical and female vocals? Also, how do the w5000 stack against the L3000 in the same categories?- FoolmanCool

Singlepower SLAM Stock or with upgrades?
Thanks for the replies so far. I mainly listen to classical (strings and woodwinds), female vocals, and classic rock through my RS-1's. I'm not overly concerned with soundstage as I am with making the music I hear more musical . This will be my first headphone amp I'll own, and down the road...- FoolmanCool

Singlepower SLAM Stock or with upgrades?
Hello everyone, I'm thinking of securing a SLAM pretty soon, and I was wondering for those who have one, which options did you get with it, and how much of an impact these options would have on the sound? I was thinking of getting the stock SLAM, and then sending it back to Mikhail for...- FoolmanCool

Gave up on the Stax for now, boy do I love the RS-1 :D
Congrats! I've also aquired an RS-1 within the past few weeks, and I'm just as impressed. They sound great with rock, and plus I've been enjoying them with violin and woodwind concertos as well.- FoolmanCool

Grado RA-1 High Gain or Not?
Thanks for everyone's input on this. I've been looking around and for the 400-500 dollar price range, I was thinking of getting the Ra-1 or the mapletree ear +. I'm not that familiar with tube technology (other than the fact that it powers guitar amps pretty well), and was wondering if anyone...- FoolmanCool

Grado RA-1 High Gain or Not?
Hello everyone, I recently aquired a grado rs-1 that I'm right now running unamped. I've heard good things about the rs-1 when paired with the ra-1, and I was planning on getting the high gain version of the ra-1 just in case I get some high impedance cans in the future. The question is...- FoolmanCool
