Yep, agreed. The only issues I've had with RCA cables is noise when doing the interconnect or if the interconnects are loose. Other than that, it's just an electrical signal transport medium.

Whoops, I think I contradicted myself in that USB cables are normally used between digital devices such as PCs (digital) and DACs (digital), not DACs and Amps. With that said, the same argument applies :) Also, this applies to digital cables only (i.e. USB and HDMI) and not analog (electrical)...

I completely agree with OP about USB cables making no difference in sound quality as they only carry 1s and 0s between DAC (digital) and Amp (analog) devices. At the endpoint of a USB connection, you either get sound or no sound. It does not matter if the digital signal runs over copper or...

Thanks for the heads up!  Only thing I wish are any release notes about each new version.  We're left to go on faith that each version is supposed to be better than the last without any details.   At least, with the last two updates, I haven't found any reason to roll back.

I've listened on both the V200 and ZDSE. Gotta say the ZDSE wins out 9 X out 10.

If there is a new DAC, I'd hope it only involves changing out the mainboard and keeping the network bridge the same.  The convenience of modularity, the cool network bridge and the promise of a future-proof design were the big attractions for me.   Quote:

I understand the hesitancy to warranty IEMs that have changed multiple hands, but what about IEMs that are bought strictly as gifts for others? How would you determine the original ownership in that case? Maybe with an online owner registration process?
