You don't necessarily need a portable amp for these headphones, and the e10 will do you justice on a computer.

d2000 will most definitely leak sound.

Oh the volume is plenty fine, i've just personally noticed a slightly more taught bass response and slightly more pronounced mids with high gain on. Sounds crazy but its what I've noticed. I suppose the extra current helps the dampening of the relatively large driver.

If you'll be using your computer with the d2000, get yourself an e10 (~80usd), enable high gain, and enjoy! They will do rock very well, and they will be very comfortable the entire time.

If the sibilance is too much, and you don't mind having even less bass, then you wouldn't go wrong going the d2000 route.

I've got both ahd2000 and pro 900. For your intentions, I'd personally prefer the pro 900.

That would be exceptional to drive them, and Amazon has an incredible return/replace policy.

You've made a solid choice. Be careful though, if you like them you'll soon be spending 300+ dollars upgrading to the pro 900 model.

I'd thoroughly ensure the cable is screwed into the headphones properly. Many have had the same issue. I had to forcefully push and turn to get it in properly. Scariest moment of my life.
