Sony D-15 Service Manual
Hi gang. I need to find out the pin-out on the PCM60P. I'm wondering if anyone has a D-15 Service Manual and can help me out on this, as I can't find a datasheet for the PCM60P. Thanks!- Filburt

K701 replacement parts?
So I somehow managed to lose one of my earcups, along with the foam insert. I have no idea where they are. Went on a road trip with them and the parts are just gone Anyhow, Headroom carries the pads, but not the inserts, so I feel like I'm up a creek on this. Anyone know where I can get...- Filburt

Sharp AD-D1AC (e.g. 4 pole to 3 pole adaptor)
Does anyone know how this adaptor works? I'm somewhat reluctant to order overseas for one, so I figured I could just build one, but I don't know what the internal connection looks like. I also don't know what the actual output of the MD-DR7 looks like (e.g. is it just split grounds or is it...- Filburt

Koss A/250 Foam Replacement?
On one of cups, the foam that covers the driver has worn down prematurely (well, I think prematurely anyhow). I'm wondering if anyone knows of a suitable substitute.- Filburt

OPA2365 Weird Problem
Okay, so I've been trying to use this chip as a line driver in one of my PCDPs, and I get a rather strange problem. When first installed, it mostly works OK. When I turn the unit off, I do get some noise at the end when the unit is powering down. When I tried using the chip in a test circuit, it...- Filburt

D66 Eggos
I've been reading through threads and I'm having trouble getting a clear idea of what these sound like. My headphones I use normally are K701s, but I also have a pair of Koss A/250s as well and have also been listening to a pair of K240s. I'm just thinking about D66s for portable use, or maybe...- Filburt

DIP Socket performance hit?
I'm considering putting dip sockets in my DAC where currently the op-amps are directly soldered in. How much of a performance hit would this be expected to produce? Note that this is in the buffer stage, not the I/V stage.- Filburt

Anyone familiar with JRC/NJM 2100?
Just wondering. This is the op-amp I'm going to replace in my CD player, so I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with this chip and it's sound etc.- Filburt

Need op-amp help...might be slightly esoteric
Alright, so I need to replace the NJM2100 op-amp in my PCDP since I'm doing major mods on it for fun. Anyhow, I need something that runs on single supply (5v), is decently quick (over 15v/usec slew), has decent bandwidth, doesn't use too much power, is not too high on input bias current, is rail...- Filburt

Anyone in San Jose area with DT880s (hopefully 2006 model)?
I'd really like to try these out and compare them to my K701 as I'd like to finally put it to rest whether I should make the switch, and should probably do so before it's been 30 days (they were bought from Headroom) I'll let you try my PINTs and PCDPs in return!- Filburt

My K701 :)
Okay, so I thought I'd just chronicle my experience with it here from now on: First Day - Tried them out, and was surprised by the soundstage and imaging, but thought they might have sounded a bit muffled, although the highs were definitely coming through strong. I went an AB'd it with other...- Filburt

Anyone willing to let me hear their Gilmore Lite in the Bay Area?
I just got my K701s and wanted to hear this amp with them, and was wondering if someone would be willing to let me take a listen. In exchange, I can offer a listen to my 'special' PCDPs- Filburt

iRiver H10 Issue
So my girlfriend got an H10, and I noticed a weird bug in it that I'm not sure of how to fix. Before anyone asks, I _did_ check for firmware updates and it is current with the version on iRiver's site (v2.51). The problem is that, when playing a song, I have to go back into the custom EQ...- Filburt

Weee
So I decided to take the XP-6 and mod the heck out of it. If I understand the datasheet correctly, and I think I did, I've managed to change the oversampling down to 4x. I also managed to change the overall voicing. It's now more neutral, and highly detailed. Both an improvement, IMHO, over it...- Filburt

Need some help with interpreting a post from PeterR
http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showp...05&postcount=4 I'm going to be performing a similar modification to the D-25 'Turbo' Mod on a Panasonic SL-NP11, which uses the BB PCM60P. This chip is apparently very similar to the PCM66, as when I try to pull up a datasheet for it, I get the PCM66...- Filburt

Post about your PINT configurations! :D
PINT #1 - Not "mini^3ified", AD8397 on L/R, LM6172 on ground, gain 4. Sound - Smooth with great detail and rather good soundstage and imaging for a portable. Has a nice amount of depth, relatively speaking. The sonic 'feeling' is that of the LM6172 keeping the aggressive 8397 in check...- Filburt

Fun with vintage Aiwa PCDPs
So I got an Aiwa XP-6, thinking it might be the same as my slightly beat up XP-7. It turned out that it wasn't...the sound was more neutral and less involving...and I was disappointed. So I decided to do what any sensible person would do. I proceeded to mod the heck out of the XP-7 using...- Filburt

K701 and DT880
Okay, so I've read pretty much every thread I possibly can on this, and I simply cannot find a clear explanation of what the differences between these two are. It's very likely I'm going to get one of these (and not both...I simply cannot afford that), and I really need some guidance here. I...- Filburt

Anyone have a spare (BB) PCM60P?
I'm thinking of doing a D25 turbo-esque modification on my Panasonic SL-NP11, and am wondering if someone has one of these handy and is willing to sell it off. The Sony D-15 also uses this chip, so a broken/unwanted D-15 might work too, provided I could remove the chip in an easy enough manner- Filburt

PINT Problem
Okay, so I've a problem with my PINT. The power supply is 18v (2x9v). I've checked polarity on everything, as well as alignment of the op-amps. I've also checked all the resistor values, and the soldering job is clean. So the problem is, my ground channel op-amp (AD8397) heats up to...- Filburt
