I'm going to be performing a similar modification to the D-25 'Turbo' Mod on a Panasonic SL-NP11, which uses the BB PCM60P. This chip is apparently very similar to the PCM66, as when I try to pull up a datasheet for it, I get the PCM66 datasheet. They appear to be pin compatible, and the PCM66 datasheet mentions the PCM60P in a few places, so I'm guessing they are more or less the same chip.

Anyhow, I'm trying to understand what PeterR's modified schematic is actually trying to tell me what to do. If someone could clarify so that I can make sure I do things correctly, it would be much appreciated.

It looks like he's cutting the traces between pin 19 and 20, joining them between 18 and 19, cutting the trace to pin 8, and then adding a second DAC wired as shown to the pins of the first one.
