Sorry to bump such an old thread.. I just did the podectomy and there's now a lot of hiss. I ordered 1/4w 47.5ohm resistors, will they fix it, or is the hiss caused by crappy soldering/wrapping? Will the resistors tone down the volume as well?

I've never heard a piano like that..in a live concert or in recordings...I don't see how it could be a piano, i've listened to the clip like 100 times and i just don't think a piano sounds like that..the sound is too abrubt and woody to be a piano..

My computer's headphone jack has no volume control, and I'm pretty sure it is unamplified... It sounds much better than the headphone jack on my klipsch promedia's ..but it's also a lot quieter.
