The GS1000 has a different sound signature than the others you mention. You'll have to decide for yourself if that is a good thing.

So are you asking us how good YOUR system sounds? Why don't you determine that yourself?

It's a simple thing. If you suspect you will have issues with the fit and finish, by all means, spend your money elsewhere.

I'm very willing to bet that changing the output caps would be a pretty major upgrade.

I think you need to do a bit more reading on balanced operation. Are you sure you mean balanced, as in 4 channels? Do you have the standard plug on your Grados, or have you recabled/reterminated them with an XLR? RCA's are not used for balanced operation.

The A series uses pads from the 'older' series... W10/W11/L3000/W100/W1000 The W5000 pads will not fit. I do not know about the AD series' pads.
