Sennheisser HD280 pro vs HD 25

I've heard the only way to replace the cable for the HD-25 is to invert one of the earcups, or something to that effect, which supposedly makes them less of a portable can...is this true?

Sennheisser HD280 pro vs HD 25

Here's a question: at headphonereviews.org, the HD-25SP is listed as having a bigger soundstage than the HD-25....is this true? I'd take the slight hit in audio performance for headphones with a bigger soundstage and are a hundred bucks cheaper. Can anybody who has owned both cans comment on...

    Sennheiser HD201s kick ass.

Can somebody post a pic with the cans on their head? That way we can see how they would like wearing outside.

    THE student's headphones

Nice post. I originally wanted 280s but now am vacillating on HD-25/SP. Apperantly, SP has a greater soundstage?

    Upgrading from PX200, opinions?

You can always carry the HD-25's around your neck when not wearing them.

Look what the UPS dropped off!!! (56K warning..)

Congratulations! There are several high-fi audio shops around me. I'm wondering if any of them still have SR-40's in stock now....

    Land of the LOW FI

Worst "cheapo" cans I've ever had the...pleasure..of buying were the Koss UR-15's. The advertisement on the box should read: "Want muddied sound?!!"

    Counterstrike players?

I played with a couple of you guys the other day. Good times.

    Counterstrike players?

It appears that at least some of you play CS from your comments in the Headphones section. I too play Counterstrike and always enjoy a friendly game....if anybody from Headfi likes 32 person servers in their spare time, the one I usually play at is Hotel Cali Bar and Grill: 67.18.76.11:27015...

I own Bose, so hate me.

I'm trying to do that in my head and I'm not seeing what it spells.

    Some pictures: beyerdynamic DJX-1

And can we get some pics of how they look on your head? It may sound like a weird question, but I want to see ow big they *really* are.

    Headphone Burn-Out?

I don't know but it was funny. Personally, even the cheapest headphones that have been brought into my household still work just fine.

    I just bought Sony XD200 for CDN$39

    Are they really that big?

    My Head-Fi adventure

You might be able to find the Sennheiser HD-25-SP's in that price range. They're closed, portable, and good quality soundwise (if you trust Headroom, that is )

hd-25 or.. stay with my portapro2?

No problem.....there are also a host of reviews here: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews-all-5049.html http://www.audioreview.com/headphone...x.aspx#reviews Though some of them deal with the HD-25's little brother, the HD-25-SP. Hope this helps!

hd-25 or.. stay with my portapro2?

I'm also in the market and looking at the HD-25. Let me point you here: http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=72883 Personally, that review has convinced me that the HD-25's are the right choice for me. Good luck.

$100 or less, Need best headphones

It appears the new Sony's (XD-400's) are getting a lot of attention here, and you can find them for below $100. A lot of people will give you differing opinions though- some will say Sennheiser PX-200's, others the lower-end Grados....you've got to do some research yourself.

    Sony MDR-XD400 - new <$100 bargain phone?

Sweet pics man. Both of those actually look "portable" to me. But I may be crazy....how is sound leakage? (I too am still in HS and while I won't be taking the bus by the time I buy any new cans, sound leakage is still important to me.) And, speaking of portability....do they stay on alright?

    Sony D66 vs. XD 200 and 400?

Just as a question, how do the Eggos compare against these newer Sony headphones?
