Best IEM tips?
How does one determine which tips will be better on an IEM with a short nozzle vs. longer ones? (Millimeter math, obviously, but I was wondering if there was a case for using the "short" style of tips) And what measurements are considered long/short for IEM insertion? I get good seals with...- kinkling

7Hz Impressions & Discussion
Reading the reviews of the Zero2, you'd think it was rolled off compared to the OG, which I found ear-piercing and had to put Complys on to tolerate. The Zero2 is exactly as you describe...nowhere near as relaxed as the Starfield. I haven't compared the tips to the original yet, but I am...- kinkling

Headphone recommendation between Sennheiser,Focal and HI-FI Man?
Agree with the previous posters--HD600 ticks all the boxes except easy to drive (no idea what they will sound like with the Marantz). And the HifiMan should be just fine, too.- kinkling

Schiit Modi Multibit 2 DAC
Not with the Piety/MM2 combo, no, I think it would probably be pretty good. I don't find the 600s that much brighter compared to the 660S. I haven't heard the 660S2 yet. Just guessing here, so it means absolutely nothing, but I think the Modi+/Piety combo might be the slightest bit warmer...- kinkling

Schiit Modi Multibit 2 DAC
I would say mix and match, whichever you decide-- if you go with the Piety, that is "warm" enough to use the Modi+ with the Sennheisers you listed. If you go with MM2, then pair it with the Magni3. I had the Modi3 and Magni3 on my desk at work, and switched them for the MM2/Piety combo. With...- kinkling

Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
Better than what I had, thanks. I am running them (V2) from a Fiio M11 with Comply T500 tips (the included foams didn't seal and they were treble monsters). Although with the foam tips, I was reasonably comfortable without any EQ. This EQ is a little "fuller" than the one I had settled on...- kinkling

Hifiman Ananda Stealth Magnet Version
These did not degrade the sound and the angle helped them seal under my ear behind the hinge of my jaw. I have the red pair, so I got the white pads and they look like a 60's Ford Falcon automobile...also, they are not as extreme as the website pictures may indicate...- kinkling

The cups themselves? The plastic part? My original pads began to flake something terrible, but my actual earcups are perfectly fine.
