[GUIDE] How To Properly Dampen Your Beyerdynamic T1
Do you the dt990 premium 600 could benefit at all from it? I haven't gotten mine yet, but if the treble is a little too bright for me I'll keep an eye on this thread if you guys think it could improve it. Also I realize the t1 has different driver tech so that's why I'm not sure if this could...- WillDrivers63

[GUIDE] Sonic Differences Between DT770-DT990 Models & More
Thank you for responding to my post! I didn't see it until today because I have been busy myself, so it's not a problem, I appreciate the reply. So I've been kind of going back and forth on what I should pick, but I just came to an epiphany. Basically what I'm reading is the dt990 is going...- WillDrivers63

[GUIDE] Sonic Differences Between DT770-DT990 Models & More
Hey I've been doing my research on the dt880/600ohm premium model. I want to use my existing setup for now, but will eventually get a powerful tube amp as I know that will help in the progression of my rig. I like my akg k271mkii but I'm hoping to have something that's still pretty neutral...- WillDrivers63

Quote: Yes, I try to do my research on the forum. Ok thanks, I'll cross off the akg k240 then. I noticed you had a pic of the dt880 pros in your profile. Have you tried them and how were they for you? Like I said I'm looking at the 880/600ohm premiums and the 990 pros. Thanks- WillDrivers63

Akg k271 mk ii pads: leatherette or Velvets? Which do you prefer?
Hey guys I was curious of what people thought of the akg k271 pads. I personally like the feel of the velvet/velour a lot, but last night I decided I'd give the leather ones a try (I've owned the cans for about a year and have listened with the velours nearly exclusively). Like I said I...- WillDrivers63

Amp/DAC for Polk Audio Monitor40 Series II speakers
I know probably the last thing you need is more people weighing in, but what I think would be a good set up is this. I use the behringer audio interface ufo202 as a dac. Yes an audio interface can be used for a dac. Now there are going to be ones that are better, but for $30 it's a very nice...- WillDrivers63

I feel petty, but this annoyed me ...
As far as the shopping in stores I don't usually mind it, but I hate when the salespeople are pushy about giving me a big pitch on things. With all the resources out there I do my own research on a product before buying it. But there is my little rant for this thread. Haha OP I'll give you...- WillDrivers63

First headphones after discovering Head-Fi
Grado sr60i, bought them about a year before I registered on the forum. Don't think I'll ever get rid of em. Still plan to try out some of the more in depth mods.- WillDrivers63

Mdr-v6 Upgrade: AKG k240s, k271?
Awesome, thanks for the impressions on the 580. Most important is that you are enjoying them. I have read that the highs can be very bright. I do not mind bright sound, I'll have to consider these as a bassy fun fullsized headphone as they seem great at that. I do like that they seem pretty easy...- WillDrivers63

Shootout: 114 Portable Headphones Reviewed (Xiaomi Mi Headphones added 04/21/2015)
Quote: Thanks, I figured that's what I would hear, but thanks for the reassuring post. With this head-fi stuff it's constantly about "well if I spend this much more then I could look at buying this headphone instead" lol. I think I'll be glad with my choice. Shootout: 114 Portable Headphones Reviewed (Xiaomi Mi Headphones added 04/21/2015)
Hey |joker| and others, what do you think about the akg k518 vs k181, I guess I want the portability of the k518, but am worried mostly about its long term cable durability and to a lesser extent the increased sq and potential better isolation of the k181. I'm probably going to go with the k518...- WillDrivers63

Mdr-v6 Upgrade: AKG k240s, k271?
Hi I will respond to your question, but I am afraid I will not be too much help for you. I own the akg k271, what I enjoy: the clarity of the vocals, removable cable, 2 sets of earpads (velors feel nice and comfortable), have large round cups (fit my huge ears), feel relatively durable...- WillDrivers63

Bose QC15: Worth it????
I have listened to the bose qc15 a good amount and will agree with what quantum xL said. It is not going to be classified as a great sound quality headphone because the bass is definitely too pronounced and is a little muddy. If you listen to more modern bass heavy music the sound will probably...- WillDrivers63

Cool gonna give it a shot. Read the reviews seems good except the included software must be a little hard to work with. I don't intend to use it anyway.- WillDrivers63

Oh wow I hadn't heard of this product at all, but it looks like it would serve the purpose just about perfectly. The software stuff would be a bonus too. Two questions about the Behringer UFO202. First is it simply plug in and the drivers and what not automatically install and what not? Secondly...- WillDrivers63
