Did anyone have issue with their Kann not powering on? Mine was working fine yesterday. Shut it down for the night and today it won't power on. Tried plugging in a charging cable but no charging icon.

I am also raising my hand. I've owned the AK100ii and now the KANN. They're both great players, but the lack of feature updates on your high-end players is just appalling. It really leaves a bad taste and makes me feel like A&K just doesn't care after they've got my money.

Does anyone know if I can use my balanced to SE adapter I have for the AK100ii on the KANN? Is the pinout the same, or do I have to buy a new adapter? I haven't received my KANN yet, but would like to get a new adapter if needed. Thanks.

It really is not. I triple amp going from AK100ii (max volume, 'pseudo line-out') to Oppo HA2 (volume at 2, high gain) to my '99 Honda Accord stock stereo, and it sounds marvelous, as close to live as it can get.

Use Foobar2000 on a Windows PC to apply replaygain metadata on your files, then use a music player with replay gain option. Or just use Neutron Music Player which has a normalize feature to analyse your library and automatically adjust volume of tracks.   Quote:

Major reason why audio equipment are priced the way they are is because audio is very very subjective. It is internal to the subject, someone can't really share their exact experiences with others. Also, limited resources prevent most people from trying out every single piece of equipment...

Muscle memory. Like artpiggo mentioned, your ears has been 'tuned' to the old setup. Your ears need to adjust when you add/switch to something new. But most people here just tell you to 'burn in' whatever you're using....

People who have upgraded firmware since 1.12, did the random audio pausing get fixed or reduced with the newer firmwares? I'm still on 1.12 and rather stay on this version if the newer versions didn't fix or reduce this issue.   Thanks!
