In my school, we can borrow ipod for doing music homeworks. I own an iAUDIO M3L. By just comparing this 2, iAUDIO is much better than ipod.

All iAUDIO DAPs CAN READ ID3 tags. But they don't support ID3 tags browsing. i.e. you can only browse file in directory tree structure rather than ID3 database. BUT when you selected a file and play it, the player WILL read and display the ID3 tag.

X5 is actually quite close than M3 in terms of specification. the only major difference is a colour LCD display on the main unit, and has USB OTG. All other specifications including codecs support are almost the same.

If you are happy with the sound quality, those cord stuffs shouldn't really bother you that much I found the cord is not that difficult to manage though..

People here doesn't really know about iaudio. Most people here own Rio Karma and ipod.

I'll suggest buy from large reatil stores unless you want your aunt get cheated. If you are sure your aunt is very knowledgable, then go Sham Shui Poo or Ap Liu Street. Mong Kok has some nice shops too
