You can drill the stripped screws out. I stripped two screws on my AD700, just drilled them out and bought some larger ones at the hardware store the next day. If you do drill them out, cover up the drivers with some cloth to keep any metal shavings out.

I have actually. There's a slight difference, but you honestly do not need an amplifier.

An AD700 might be a good choice.

I'm going to buy an AD900 soon, but I just can't part with the beauty that is the purple AD700 grill. So, is there a way to remove the AD900 and AD700 grills in such a way that I can replace them?

I know you don't want to invest in an amp, but you could buy a Fiio E5, it has a bass boost switch. It's pretty cheap and might good idea to get one if your headphones aren't up to chuff in the bass department.
