Honestly, unless you really really like Grados(and some people really do), I don't know how the US would make it to a country list for "best" full size headphones. American companies seem to have the IEM market locked down with Chinese companies being up and comers but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of US presence in the full size market even with the recent entry of Shure. I'm fairly new to audio stuff though.

And yeah, this poll is rather pointless and silly overall.

Ze germans. Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Ultrasone... Nickchen...

The K1000 possibly remains the most revolutionary dynamic headphone, but these german brands do their fair share of R&D. Ultrasone looks after the health of our hearing, Sennheiser provides bang for the buck euphonics, and Beyerdynamic just kind of hangs in there.

If this poll included non-dynamic headphones, Japan would have taken the cake. Stax + L3000 + R10 + Qualia = greatness.

Let me talk to some of you:

Germans are well-know for their world-class 'designs and engineering', etc.
in audio, cars, etc. They are the world leaders in many areas
of science, engineering and technology!

By the way, I've added the following to the op:

P.S.
This poll is in the same vein as What country produces the best engineered cars...?.

P.S.
I'm using the above animation just for fun. Nobody should feel offended.
This animation is not addressed to the moderator (or any Head-fi officials).

I am curious to know what the thoughts of the four people who voted "other".

There should be a way to make it mandatory to make a post if you want to choose other.

I'm perfectly aware that Audio-Technica is a Japanese company. What I meant was that I voted Japan because I'm a bit of an Audio-Technica fan. Sorry if I expressed myself a bit unclearly.
