Sennheiser CX300 II Vs. Ultimate Ears Metro.Fi 150
If he plays bass-guitar, then i think he'd love the CX-300's. -
High-end IEM vs High-end speakers
IIRC, IEM's will always have the best bang for the buck, when compared to speakers. This is because of the lower amount of distortion from the air. It comes at the price of a less powerful bass, and a smaller soundstage, however. -
Buying SoundMagic from Dealperfect...
A lot of users suggest Dealperfect for buying SoundMagic related items... But I can't register or seem to add anything to my cart. I can't even find the "Add to Cart" button. Am I missing something here...?- MisterControversy

Small player with good sound quality?
Sansa clip easily. Amazing prize, great size (bout size of 2nd gen shuffle) and has a screen. SQ is apparantly one of the best in mainstream retail. I would also suggest the Nationite Nanite. It's about the size of 2 3rd generation ipod shuffles (stunningly small), has an OLED screen, and has...- MisterControversy

Is the Yuin G2A worth the price?
Thanks for all your help! Just one last question - I'm planning to pair the G2A with a Sansa Clip. Would this be a good combination? I've heard of the impressive quality the Clip produces, although i'm a bit weary of it's power output. Should I get a different mp3 player / Fiio? -
Is the Yuin G2A worth the price?
Great. I really enjoy having a large soundstage though. Do the G2A's soundstage fair well against the portapros/px100? -
Is the Yuin G2A worth the price?
Is the Yuin G2A worth the price? It doesn't seem to come up often, more people seem to choose the portapros / px100s over them. How about the G1A? Are there any better alternatives for the price? Thanks in advance.- MisterControversy

Shure SE530 or the Bose In Ear? AM I CRAZY? But pls read first :)
If you want comfortable IEMS, try the ones by Klipsch. I've heard great things about their gel tips.- MisterControversy

The Nuforce definitely. Next up would be the Maximos (if considering looks). -
"How to" - Best custom tips for IEMs ever. IMHO. with pics
I realize this is a huge bump, but for those people (like me) who's local drugstores don't sell earplugs, you can get them at DealExtreme for a rather expensive $1.61 a pair. The only upside to these are that they're multi colour.- MisterControversy

[ask] Radius / NuForce 7 / PL11 ?

Seeking (relatively) cheap IEMs
RE-2 w/ FiiO e5 amp for 50$ is a great deal. Has better SQ than ER6i, but not as much isolation. -
Soundmagic PL-30 or Head-Direct RE 2?
The only reason I could see to get an amp with a RE2 is to improve the bass, as that's its main weakness.- MisterControversy

Must decide which low-cost iem to order
From another thread, it was claimed that the 590s were similiar to the Monster Turbines in flavouring as well as much better in SQ. Edit: Nevermind, I've discovered a fair share of reviews which claim the opposite. -
Etymotics - OUCH! Painless alternatives?
I think there was a tutorial here not too long ago where someone cut off the smallest flange to make it a bi-flange with good results. Perhaps you can try that..?- MisterControversy

monster turbine or klipsch x10
The turbine's main selling point for me would be it's bass. If you don't listen to very bassy music, then the x10's are by far the better choice. -
Return Policy on Customs?
I find it hard to believe that materials and labour exceed 150$, but i'm probably just being cheap, lol. -
Low end custom IEMs?
Single drivers at hearyourself.com are only $150.00 irc. -
