Thanks for the info Lisa! So you live in the Netherlands as well, huh? Yeah, the European prices! I had the opportunity to buy used kcs35 for 40 EUR, but now it's gone... For my PortaPro's I paid 49EUR and for the px100 43EUR... Koss hasn't replied yet (I asked them about the shipping costs to...- razputin

How to test for a good seal?
I know, that the seal is good, when I'm hesitant to pull the phones out because of the under-inflation the seal creates. An abrupt pull would just hurt too much. So I have to do the "full procedure": pull at my ears and take out the phones with a twisting move...- razputin

Ety 4P concerns after a year.
Don't you worry! I have both: the mx500 and the ety 4p ...and the are mx500 just earbuds, nothing more. They are better than my old aiwa's, but that's it. Really! I wouldn't even begin to compare them! The mx500 are useful when you have to listen to something quickly, but for a real musical...- razputin

Hi guys! Thanks for the input: I think, I'll go for the Koss ksc35, as they are lighter than the ksc50 and seem to sound just like the PortaPro's. And I'll also keep waiting for the Sennheiser, we'll see, whether they'll arrive while I'm on vacation or even later ;-)- razputin

Does it really matter, where the sound difference comes from? As long as there is one, it will make a difference for people wanting to buy a headphone... It really IS a pitty, I don't know of any place in the Netherlands where I could go and listen to all these headphones (I try their fit)...- razputin

oddball: I always think: there must be a reason the Koss KSC-55/50 are so much cheaper than the PortaPro's. I mean, even the SportaPro's don't get the same good reviews as the Porta's ...and all of them supposed to habe the same drivers! lmm: Yeah, the px100 were my first choice. But I had...- razputin

I'm a happy ety owner. Still, I cycle and jog quite a lot and feel uncomfortable with canal earphones on the road. That's why I also bought the Sennheiser mx500. They have a fine, warm sound - but feel boring as well. I'm in love with the sound of my ety's 4P with the P2S-adapter cable, but...- razputin

Yeah, I read this (Xin's) statement a few times, but as I already wrote elsewhere, I don't believe it. But then I always have trouble believing things I don't understand ;-)- razputin

Okay, I just got them! I'm sooo excited: here are my first impressions: I only heard one album so far: George Moustaki: Racine et errances, because that's what on my cf (tested on Gmini 220 and the sharp zaurus): first glance: the etys are soo small, but what a pain in my ears! The foamies...- razputin

IPOD or Archos?
okay, I own a newer Archos model, the gmini 200. You won't hear me rave about the sound quality: though there is absolutely no background noise without the remote (the remote is absolutely crap!), the output is just ok. But with a little tweaking in the eq-settings you can get decent sound...- razputin

On the market for E3 or ER4P
Thank you guys! This is a great forum :-) I think I'm going right now for the 4P with the adaptor, so I can upgrade later to the e5c... If I understood things correctly these would be a nice matching pair in the end Also this would make an upgrade of other hifi-devices much more...- razputin

Right, but couldn't a portable amp solve this problem? Even bangraman, who wrote a VERY favourable review for the e3s writes: Quote: If I had to pick ONE earphone for both portable and fixed use, and if I were to spend an equal time listening at home (on quality gear along the lines...- razputin
