Phono Input
I have a phono input on my Sony STR-V5 and I was wondering if it was safe to use my mp3 player in this input jack. The phono input is much louder than the others which helps compensate for hte lack of volume coming from the mp3 player. I was just wanting to make sure that it's not damaging to...- nitsujH

I'm looking for a low to intermedate level amp that is powerful enough to power larger speakers. I've built a CMoy and a half (my dad decided he...- nitsujH

Sony STR-V5
I was wondering if anyone's had any listening time with a Sony STR-V5 reciever? I've been using it for about a year now after finding my parent's stash of old stereo equipment in the basement. I'm about as far as it gets from an audiophile, infact, I think if an audiophile did come into my room...- nitsujH

That's great, how safe would it be to plug a surge protector into one of these things, and then plug all my stuff into that? Thanks guys! *EDIT* This should fit Spain and France? This should fit Italy? -

European Plugs
I'm going to be taking a two week trip to Europe next summer, and I've just come to the realization that there are different plugs over there. I was wondering if there is some sort of adaptor I can use so my American plugged products will work? And if there is, is it safe to use on things such...- nitsujH

...a good idea, the transmitter and the batteries are both on different sides of the phones, so I'd rather not have both sides in my pocket. *EDIT* I was just thinking about power, the transmitter runs off of 12V DC, is there a way I could wire some batteries into this thing?
