What do they do? What do I do?
E4 performs good enough when pluged in ipod classic or some CD player. If you are using computer and DAC as sources, add an amp is the perfect choice. Otherwise, ipod, for instance, directly plug-in is good enough, amp could not give what you want for spending so much more money.- Tornado

SR-60 vs. DT440
Dt440 is qulified for classic, some kind of pop, new age. meanwhile, sr60 is more suitable for rock, medal, jazz and some "heavy" pop. you'd better try them and compare by yourself. I prefer DT440, I love new age!- Tornado

K701 Companion Cans
701 is warm enough for me, if wanna warmer, try Mpro, the clarity and soundstage is perfect for you, and much warmer than 701. Mpro is very good without amp, and perfect with a good amp.- Tornado

Please help me choose headphones (Gaming, Music, Films) - $300/£150
Maybe HD650 is good for you, although the price is a bit higher. With a better sound card, HD650 can give you the best sound. And it is comfortable. Also BASS is enough for a movie. 595 is a good phone, but still far from 650, I think.- Tornado
