Yuin alternatives?
Quote: To try out before I decide if I want them? Wow, that would be really cool. I'd love to try them out if they have OK1 or PK1 level quality for only $99.- Cinders

Yuin alternatives?
My PK1's have finally died after 6 years of loyal service. I loved them, and never felt the need to upgrade, and I prefer earbuds anyways. Are there any good earbuds (not IEMs) that came out recently that I should look into? I'm thinking I should just go back to PK3's to save money, and I...- Cinders

FiiO E11 & E11K & A3 Information + Support
Sorry if this isn't the place to ask, or has already been asked before. I haven't been on head-fi in like 3 years. Anyways, I have some PK1's, and a fiio e5 and have been fairly happy for the 5 or 6 years I've owned them. Should I get an E11? Is it a big enough jump from the E5? I guess...- Cinders

Yuin PK1-PK2 impressions thread
Well I also have the SR60's and while I think the PK1's aren't as "bright" they are more detailed and overall sq is better imo (of course grado's have bigger soundstage though). But yeah, muffled doesn't sound good.- Cinders

Yuin PK1-PK2 impressions thread
I had to come back to this thread to say after like 5 or 6 months these PK1's still manage to surprise me. Such beautiful sounds from something so small. Well worth the money imo. I hope they withstand the test of time though.- Cinders

Your first eargasm?
When I first heard my Grado SR60's after using ipod earbuds forever I was in heaven. Now I can actually hear that they're not perfect, but still great, and when I first heard them I couldn't believe it.- Cinders

Good neutral buds?
I'm not sure about a player with less power but as for my Zune it did drive the PK1's alright, but yeah without an amp, it is not nearly worth the price it costs. I'd say go for the PK2's, I haven't personally heard them, but I'm sure they're fine.- Cinders

Can you tell lossless from lossy with your portable setup?
under 320kbs i can hear a difference as to 320 vs. lossless, i may just be crazy but I think I do hear a difference, not really in quality, but i think mp3 sounds.....warmer, whereas lossless sounds more neutral. *shrugs* zune > 4" vampire copper, neutrik plugs > fiio e5 > yuin pk1- Cinders

What's the longest your PK1 and PK3 have run before they broke?
I have both, and they're still working fine. I bought the PK3's about 5 or 6 months ago and they're still working fine. My PK1's are 4 months old and still fine too.- Cinders

So...who's using Windows 7 right now?
I'm using 7 now as my main OS after using XP for years and years, I've never actually tried Vista ever. Anyways I love it, I had some problems with UAC but once I disabled it everything is fine now. It's nice and fast even though I only have a gig of memory (i'm saving up to get 4gigs). It's...- Cinders

Switch to digital?
Right now this is my configuration, onboard audio, line out to radioshack gold audio cable, to Samsung LCD TV PC audio input jack, LCD TV headphone out jack to Yuin PK1's. So far this has been quite adequate and sounds fine, I'm able to switch between computer, tv, and my 360 without having...- Cinders

Burger-Fi: what makes a great burger? Post your toppings!
I went to my favorite Cajun restaurant yesterday and tried their Bayou burger, it was delicious, blackened burger with roasted onions and melted provolone cheese. I'm not a big veggie person so I scraped off a bit of the lettuce but not all of it, and I don't really like mayo but they didn't...- Cinders

[Pictorial] Miniature Amps Face-off: Colors, E3, E5 and T4 as guest of honor.
Hmm would you suggest buying a T4 if you already have an E5? $100 vs. $20 is a big difference, is it sonically similar enough not to warrant the extra cost of the T4?- Cinders
