LOD vs headphone out
Quote: So, the signal is even stronger than going trought the "amped" output? Sounds like the HP out is just lower then, by the volume control, doesnt it?- lazpete

LOD vs headphone out
As far as I know, the amp is in use, but the signal does not pass the attenuation of the volume control.- lazpete

LOD vs headphone out
Thats not entirely true. The amp is always in use, but the headphone output uses a sc volume control, which lowers the amplification. Putting a good volume control to 0db, or zero attenuation, is basically the same as a line out. I do not know if the volume control on a pad is ok, but on my old...- lazpete

beyerdynamic t50p
Ive got myself a pair of the T50p, and they sounded very pleasing to me. Unfortunately, the left channel suddenly lost all bass frequencies, so im having them replaced. But I'm really interested in why this can happen? Any ideas? Lasse- lazpete

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: NEW Nuforce uDAC-2 with 24/96 - USB DAC AMP with line out and S/PDIF out
Jason, I really appreciate you being here, answering our questions. I spoke to my dealer, and they listened to all 6 units that's been returned, and all of them made the noise. The SE distributor did the same, with the same result. The reason I'm hesitating in sending my second unit back, is...- lazpete

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: NEW Nuforce uDAC-2 with 24/96 - USB DAC AMP with line out and S/PDIF out
So, how come Nuforce are ignoring apparently faulty products? I'm a drummer since 30 years, and do not have perfect hearing, but I have never heard anything like this before, and the udac2 its no my first source for audio. I did an exchange yesterday at my dealer in Stockholm, and the new...- lazpete

Sennheiser IE7 Appreciation Thread ~~~
Cardozo, I missed that line. All I can say is, that during my 400hrs or so of listening to music in my iE7, I havent once felt like "this doesnt sound right". The enjoyment of different music and instruments are, in my mind, shown with a very nice degree of accuracy. But hey, we...- lazpete

Sennheiser IE7 Appreciation Thread ~~~
In my mind, you cant compare ety's and the IE7. The Ety sounds very "slim" and bright. I thin they lack a lot of foundation in the lower region. Ive never heard the IE8, but I can heartily recommend the IE7.- lazpete
